Münze Hall
The medieval town of Hall near Innsbruck is considered the birthplace of the thaler and the dollar. Thanks to its early minting facility, it gained international significance. The Hall Mint Museum showcases the development of coin minting, also thanks to the nearby silver mining. A replica of a contemporary minting machine in original size brings the past to life. You can admire all of this in medieval walls. If you wish, you can also climb the Mint Tower: it holds many stories and offers a view over large parts of the Inn Valley. Attention: The Innsbruck Card includes only admission to the mint, without the Mint Tower.
