Taxispalais Art gallery
The TAXISPALAIS is an art hall with an international exhibition profile, exploring contemporary art and addressing current issues while initiating discourse.
Artist talks, lectures, performances, and panel discussions take place alongside the changing exhibitions.
The art hall is located in the Taxispalais, one of the earliest Baroque aristocratic palaces in Innsbruck. After being renovated and expanded in 1999, it now features an exhibition space of around 800 square meters. Additionally, there is a publicly accessible library with approximately 7,500 publications on contemporary art, culture, and theory, as well as current issues of key international art magazines. The TAXISPALAIS also houses a small café and is designed to be barrier-free.
Situated centrally in Innsbruck's city center, the TAXISPALAIS is easily reachable on foot (seven minutes from the main train station, five minutes from the old town) or by public transport.
